Ex-Machinery Explosion Proof Equipment BV modifies Daikin air conditioners into explosion-proof ATEX AC Split Systems and ATEX ventilation and cooling units, designed for Zone 2/22 hazardous areas. These split systems feature integrated heat pump functionality for both heating and cooling. The ATEX air conditioners and split systems use the European-approved R-410A refrigerant.

The transformation to ATEX explosion-proof standards aligns with Ex-Machinery's philosophy of providing excellent explosion protection while preserving as many features of the original product as possible. This approach ensures that ATEX air conditioners remain easy to install and operate.

The sets include an ATEX-certified outdoor unit, indoor unit, and remote control, all delivered with an ATEX Certificate. Versions with heating and cooling capacities ranging from 2.5 kW to 20 kW (8,500 BTU/hr to 68,000 BTU/hr) are available. Ex-Machinery Explosion Proof Equipment BV also offers explosion-proof modifications for other leading European HVAC products and brands, such as Carrier, Mitsubishi, and Toshiba, upon request.

The options include economical and reliable units like the Ex-M Mitsubishi, ideal for office use with an ambient temperature limit of 46°C, and best-buy options such as the Ex-M Samsung, designed for 24/7 operation in environments up to 50°C. For higher ambient temperatures, the Ex-M Daikin supports up to 52°C, while the Ex-M Mitsubishi (original Mr. Slim) provides robust performance with R32 refrigerant. All models are available with detailed product sheets and use certified refrigerants (R32/R-410A) to meet ATEX standards.
